The ideas contest for university students was titled ^{“Your Vision. Ethiopia in 25 Years - What society do you want to live in?”} The given topic should encourage them to reflect on their current reality and on their future perspectives.

Ethiopian students are on the verge of starting their careers and will soon have to take on concrete social responsibilities. They are old enough to recognize the potential and the shortcomings of their country.  By actively planning their own way in life, they play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Ethiopia.

19 students from the departments of philosophy, sociology, law and IT at Addis Ababa University handed in applications. 

At the end of October a jury committee assessed the student papers on the criteria of their message, their relation to Ethiopia and their style.

On November 19, the three winners received their monetary prizes in an award winning ceremony at the Institute of Ethiopian Study.
