At the age of eleven Dawit Shanko for the first time worked as a Listro in his home town of Addis Ababa. In 1985, aged 17, he came to Germany. He lives in Berlin.
The daily lives of working young people are still at the focus of what he does today. In 2003 he founded LISTROS ASSOCIATION in Berlin in order to support children and teenagers in Ethiopia by initiating projects of national and international impact. Artists and architects have joined him in these efforts. Together with him they have been developing various art and exchange projects and new ideas for an innovative development cooperation.
Regine Wosnitza has been a researcher for journalists, documentary filmmakers and authors for more than 20 years. She investigated political and social issues for several reputed American newspapers and magazines like TIME Magazine, Wall Street Journal, New York Times Magazine and Chicago Tribune.
As a resident in the neighborhood of Potsdamer Straße in Berlin, she has been dedicated to implementing tolerant social interaction projects between the diverse ethnic groups in the area since 2007. In this context, voluntary work in several citizen’s committees is as important to her as professional career.
She joined LISTROS ASSOCIATION in 2011 in the capacity of project manager and public relations.
Jürgen Jerome Kirschkowski trained as a hotel manager. He continued education by studying communication design. In January 2011 he joined LISTROS e.V. as a volunteer and has been designing flyers, posters and postcards for both the association and the art gallery connected to it.
